FUNCTIONAL BEAUTY

 

To maintain the historic integrtiy of this magnificant home we chose to maintian the original "L" design of the kitchen.

In order to make it functional as well as modern the counter top was reconfigured with Large Granite covered prep areas and an under-the-counter Stainless Kenmore Elite Dishwasher.

Both of these items are conveniently located directly next to a Large Composite Chef's sink with a Solid One-handle Pulldown Brushed Nickel Faucet centered in the sink for ease.  

Every cook knows that appliances make the differnce when preparing a meal. With that in mind your new home comes complete with the Kennmore Elite Series Glasstop Range, High Speed Digital Microwave, and Side-by-side Refridgerator over Freezer.

For added convenience a small book shelf (left) was custom made to keep your favorite cookbooks at arms reach. The Programmable Oversized Refridgerator (upper left) was a perfect fit for the former stove nook and offers huge storage of favorite foods all within one step of everything. A water and ice dispenser offer added ease.

Storage space is always a premium, so we added a Pantry with matching Hand-finished Knotty Alder Door and Sliding Shelves for quick and easy removal of dry goods and snacks.

Breakfast nooks were common with this era home and your new home is no exception. Nestled through a open archway this room offers a generous and inviting space for reading the paper over morning coffee, keeping kids from underfoot during breakfast, or as an added storage space.

Whatever the need The Nook Room is incredibly handy and features its own lighting and two sliding glass vinyl windows.

The entire kitchen and dining area is coordinated with Italian Tile, which was hand laid for a custom fit. Centered in the kitchen we placed an area rug design( lower right) with copper inlaid accents. The metallic finish of the accents (lower left) was purposefully designed to coordinate with the lighting and drawer pulls.
