Perfect Fit Living & Dining Rooms...
Rebuling the fireplace was a scratch endeavor. The facade was rebricked by hand with historic smoke stack bricks. The mantle is a custom hand made one of a kind for this home. The wood is knotty alder and was chosen to match all the interior doors which are also knotty alder and stained to match. For a finer touch we decided to add a granite hearth. Even though the home is conditioned by a new Trane heat pump, the olde style gas stove can heat the entire first floor. The windows flanking the fireplace were specially purchased with the ability to open allowing for a East-West breeze when desired.
Easy Care Elegance Walking through the oversized archway (pictured above) takes you into a spaciously fantastic dining room. Your new dining area also has a throughway directly into the kitchen making serving a snap. Treating your guests to dinner your new dining room is an experience equal to dining in an upscale bistro. In each corner is a shelved niche with bottom cupboard doors made of knotty alder for storing your fine china and linens. The shelves are perfect for family photos and memories or even storing bottles of your favorite red wines. A designer celing fan and doulbe shade sconces give the dining experience both pleasantry and ambiance. Despite its designer appearance, this dining room is very easy care. Triple seal coated Italian tile floors make spills and splashes no more than a paper towel effort. |
